Top Bolt review
I feel the need...the need for speed!
These reviews do contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

When it comes to episodes involving the map of Equestria, I always look forward to them. It’s fun to see who teams up with who, and where our characters go. So far this season, we’ve had two solid episodes. The first being a Pinkie and Rarity one going to Canterlot which was a good episode; albeit Rarity was kind of being an idiot. Then we had Applejack and Fluttershy heading to Las Pegasus and an unexpected team up with them and the Flim Flam Brothers to take down a pony who was a con master and manipulator. So it’s only fitting that for this final map episode of the season, we get another team up we haven’t seen much of, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.
Top Bolt presents this rather rather rare team up for these two. Both are sent to the Wonderbolts’ Academy to help two would be cadets with a friendship problem that actually has a very unique c

Pony Point of View (P.P.O.V.) review
The Blame Game
These reviews do contain spoilers. Read on at your own risk.

Often, when it comes to FiM, there have been few episodes showing the Mane 7 fighting against each other. Sure, we have had some episodes where they share some disagreements like Look Before you Sleep or Fall Weather Friends. However, we haven't really seen anything where they all have a major fallout between each other. I don't count Return of Harmony since that was Discord's doing.
Pony Point of View (P.P.O.V.) though offers such a story though. Admittedly, I was pretty interested since it had a big mystery about a trip going wrong. If anything, this sounded somewhat similar to Mmmmmystery on the Friendship Express. With Twilight taking the spotlight too to figure out the mystery, it sounded like a great concept for the episode. Unfortunately, what we get at the end of the day is a mystery that leaves far more questions than answers.
When Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie

Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree review
A camping we will go!
These reviews do contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

In what has become a tradition now every year now, another new Equestria Girls movie has come out this fall. If you recall my last review of this franchise, you would know I considered it to be the worst Equestria Girls movie of them all. With a plot that’s so thinly stretched out, lack of characterization, and just being an overall bore, Friendship Games was a disaster in every way.
So after the failure of Friendship Games, it was decided it was time to get away from the high school setting. So where are we headed this time? Well, it’s time to head for another rather cliche setting involving a high school group; the summer camp. I will give it credit that at least we’re away from the high school setting at last and getting some form of exploring more of the human world. But after Friendship Games, I have had zero expectations and it’s been hard for me to

Viva Las Pegasus review
What Happens in Las Pegasus
These reviews do contain spoilers.

One of the themes involving season six of FiM was about "Exploring Equestria." Well, truth be told, that hasn't really happened much this season. Oh, we have been to other places in Equestria, but not a whole lot of new places. Some of them are really good like that jungle area Rainbow, Daring, and Quibble were in during Stranger Than Fan Fiction. Then we had Gauntlet of Fire which introduced the world of dragons and developed them more. Other than that though, the most "exploring" we've seen this season is either going to Canterlot, or going back to Manehatten; especially Manehatten to the point where I feel like they have gone there a little too much now. But after a while, we finally get to see a new part of Equestria we have never seen before, Las Pegasus.
Yes, we finally get to see MLP's take one of the sin cities themselves, Las Vegas. Visiting a new place in Equestria is always a plus in my book,

The Fault in our Cutie Marks review
Right on the Mark
These reviews do contain spoilers

When the Cutie Mark Crusaders got their marks, they dedicated their lives to helping other ponies with their talents and finding out what their purpose in life is. The only time this season they've touched on that though was with On Your Marks, and even then it was more about Apple Bloom trying to find a hobby now that she and her friends don't have to worry about getting their marks. The day has finally come though for the CMC to tackle their first major client who is having cutie mark troubles. The twist though is that instead of it being a pony who has no idea what their special talent is, it's a griffon who wants to earn a cutie mark and find her special purpose in life.
Yes, in a surprising twist we have a griffon who wants to have something only ponies ever have; a cutie mark. In terms of concept, the story does open up possibilities about cutie marks in general. I'm also glad to see we're also giving a little more

Buckball Season review
Are you ready for some buckball!?
These reviews do contain spoilers

In the ever building world of Equestria, there has been one aspect we have barely touched upon; the world of sports. I know we have technically touched on it before with the Equestria Games arc in season four, but those were more like the Olympics than some of the more common sports we see on television. So it was only a matter of time before FiM decided to visit the world of sports again. That is where today's episode, Buckball Season, comes into play.
It's only fitting that an episode like this center around Applejack and Rainbow Dash; especially considering they haven't really teamed up in a long time. To make things more interesting, we have two more ponies joining this team; Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Now Pinkie I can see playing sports because of her energy making her really fast and nimble. Fluttershy, is another story though. She's probably the last pony you'd expect to see playing sports. Still,

Dungeons and Discords review
Roll for initiative!
These reviews do contain spoilers

In the 100 plus episodes of FiM, we've been sorely lacking one thing on this show; an episode centering around the guys. While it's true that the show does focus on some of these male characters, they are often supported by the mares. The day has finally arrived though where we have this kind of episode with guys hanging out with each other. Who better to have this kind of episode than the three top males in the show, Spike, Big Macintosh, and Discord?
Yes, Discord is back again after being absent for most of the season. Probably for a good reason considering his last episode not only had him at his absolute worst, but I also consider it to be the worst episode of the series up until this point. I don't want to talk about that episode because if I do, I'll go on another rant. You all know how much I despise that episode, and everything wrong with it. So what exactly do they have in store for these three guys? W

The Times They are a Changeling review
Divided Loyalties
These reviews do contain spoilers

If you remember the ending of The Crystalling, you should know that we saw a Changeling flying towards the Crystal Empire. My guess originally, and possibly a lot of other people, thought that it was setup for the season six finale. However, it seems the show decides to throw us a curve ball and not go that route. Instead, they decide to make it about a Changeling who seems to want to defect and get away from Queen Chrysalis and the hive. So who will be the one to help this Changeling and make friends with it. I mean it's got to be somepony who would really fit for such a crucial conflict like this. So who takes center stage for this episode?
Spike.
Yeah, I got to be honest here. I really wasn't expecting this episode to be about Spike. I honestly thought with an episode like this, it would be about Twilight facing and trying to make peace with a foe who nearly took over Canterlot, or even maybe Starlight making a new fr

The Cart Before the Ponies review
You got boost power!
These reviews do contain spoilers

Ever since the Cutie Mark Crusaders got their marks, they have gotten less focus now. It's probably been for the best since they accomplished their goals and there's not much else the team can do with them anymore. There is some new arc for them in helping others find their special talents, and while On Your Marks kind of explored that, we won't really see that until later this season. So what can they do with the CMC now? Well how about a day at the races with their sisters. I'm always up for whenever one or more of the CMC spend some bonding time with their sisters. They always seem to have something heartwarming, cute, or just some good character development and interaction.
Such is the case for today's episode, The Cart Before the Ponies; a title that's somewhat similar to a proverb called the cart before the horse. In this episode, the CMC are excited to finally be able to race in the Applewood Derby. Howe

Stranger Than Fan Fiction review
Daring Do and the Bitter Fan
These reviews do contain spoilers

So here we are at the second half of season six. This season has delivered some really fantastic episodes such as going to the Dragon Lands and learning more about dragons themselves. Then there were some flops like the disappointing way that Rainbow's arc about becoming a Wonderbolt ended with a terrible way about hazing and showed the worse of the Wonderbolts. Now at the halfway point of the season, we are going back to talking about a character that hasn't been seen since season four; Daring Do.
Since her introduction into the show in season two, Daring Do has become a big fan favorite character. So much so in fact that she ended up with her own episode in the fourth season, Daring Don't. I personally wasn't that big of a fan of that episode since I felt it had a mediocre story, Daring Do's character was kind of boring, and Rainbow was just being extremely annoying and just ended up causing pretty much all

Another year has come and gone. 2016 certainly has been quite the wild ride hasn't it? So as we all reflect on this year and look back at it, there's only one thing to say about this year.

THANK GOD IT'S FINALLY OVER! Anybody out there who tells you that the journey is more important than the destination never had to go through a year like this!

2016 has, for a lack of better term, been utter garbage all the way through. If you really think about it, this year has been nothing shot of a complete and total mess. The Grim Reaper going on a rampage taking so many top stars (Carrie Fisher dying was the final straw for me.) A presidential election that people won't shut up about (especially mainstream media.) YouTube coming under fire for some of the crap they've put out such as YouTube Heroes and some other stuff. It's been a really miserable year all around with little good coming out of it. As bad as this year is though, there are a couple of good things at the end of it all.

1: Cleveland ends its championship drought after 52 years. I don't like the Cavs, but it was nice to see them finally win something for Cleveland after all this time.

2: The Cubs win the World Series. Not much into baseball, but I have a huge soft spot for the Cubbies. The final play was something I'll always remember and it was damn good to see the Cubs finally emerge at the top after 108 years.

3: Pokemon GO! It does have its issues, but I do like playing the game. I contribute this game to the reason my cardio is better than before. I just wish I could catch Lapras and Aerodactyl.

4: Pokemon Sun and Moon. I own Moon and it is a lot of fun. I started it not too long ago, and am having a great time with it. Being somebody who hasn't played a proper Pokemon game in years, it was nostalgic to me and I am enjoying the game so far.

5: Rogue One. As a huge Star Wars fan, this movie is the best way to bridge the events shortly before A New Hope. It does a great job telling us how the Rebels got the Death Star plans, and I enjoyed it immensely. If you haven't seen it yet, you owe it to yourself to sit down and watch it.

Really, this year has just been a complete and total dumpster fire. We've all been affected in some way by 2016 and how terrible it's been. It did have a few minor highlights here and there, but this year has been nothing short of being dreadful. Hopefully 2017 can be better than this garbage. So with that, goodbye, 2016, and good fucking riddance.
